Getting to Know Your Vibrator

Okay, I'll admit it; I didn't even have a vibrator till a few years ago (and I've been sexually active for a couple of decades). I think my reluctance was a mixture of embarassment and thinking I didn't "need" one. Well, no one needs a vibrator, but they're a hell of a lot of fun. Often you'll find that you get a very different orgasm with a vibrator. Plus, your hand is a lot less likely to get tired!

There are quite a few different varieties of vibrators. One of my favorites is the "pocket rocket" style, which is a mini version. Not only is it very portable (about as big as a tampon), but its small size makes it easy to maneuver it onto just the right spot. With a little lube or lotion, use it on your partner's nipples. If you're having sex doggy-style, use it on your partner (if you're in back) or yourself (if you're in front). If you're doing it missionary-style, slide it in between the two of you.

Electric vibrators are often marketed in drugstores or department stores as beauty care products or sports massagers, but you can buy sexual attachments for them from any adult toy shop. Hitachi's Magic Wand is a popular model.

Dildo vibrators that have clitoral stimulators combine the best of both worlds, stimulating you both vaginally and clitorally. Using one during intercourse, either anally or vaginally (depending on what area your partner's occupying), to create double penetration.

Men are often new to vibrators, but they can have a lot of fun with them too. Use one against his balls, base of his penis or anus to get him aroused. Consider getting an anal vibrator to stimulate his prostate (use lube!).

As with anything concerning sex, have fun and experiment. A vibrator can add a new dimension and some playfulness to solo or partner sex.
